Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts, Brother Barnabas McHenry grew up in Tonawanda, New York outside Buffalo. He graduated from The George Washington University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs. It was while in our nation’s capital that Brother Barnabas first met the Dominicans through their ministry at his school’s Newman Center as well as through his visits to the Dominican House of Studies. “I found the joy and apostolic zeal of the Dominicans I first encountered refreshing and attractive. Since entering, I have had my own joy and zeal grow through time spent in contemplation and preaching!”
