In part 8 Fr. Hinnebusch describes the fundamental characteristics of the life and ministry of the friar preacher, showing how Dominican priests differ from clerics regular, canons, monks, hermit friars, etc. He then describes the life of the Dominican friar as contrasted with that of the Franciscan or Augustinian friar.
