Br. Francis Day is a Hoosier, born and raised in Indianapolis, before moving to Westfield, Indiana.  Growing up, he was a parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Our Lady of Mount Carmel. He went to St. Joseph’s College in Indiana, attaining a bachelor’s degree in history, before spending a year volunteering with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal (the CFRs) at a homeless shelter in the Bronx.  He met the Dominicans shortly after high school, and grew to love the vitality and life he saw in the Order. “I cannot begin to thank God and the Blessed Virgin for the grace of being Dominican friar. It is a joy that I can’t even begin to describe, and one that I hope to share with others.”
