On January 24, the Dominican friars will gather at our House of Studies in Washington, DC, to participate in the March for Life. This annual tradition is a natural expression of our pro-life preaching and involvement in ministries like Project Rachel and crisis pregnancy centers. The notion that society must defend its most vulnerable members, the unborn, is woven into Dominican formation from day one.
This year, leading up to the March, I will offer a Novena of Masses for the protection of the unborn, the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the enactment of laws protecting innocent human life from conception until natural death, and the healing of women, men, and families scarred by abortion.
As a fellow defender of innocent life, I invite you to join me in offering your prayers for this perennially important cause.
From January 16-24, please consider saying at least one decade of the Rosary each day for the intentions listed above. If you would like to add your own intentions to the Novena, including the names of anyone hurt by the sin of abortion, please send me your prayer intentions using the form below.
Through patient trust in God and obedience to His laws, justice will prevail.
Yours in Christ and St. Dominic,
Fr. Gabriel Gillen, O.P.
