Fr. Isaiah Beiter was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he and his family attended St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish, one of those served by the Dominicans of the Province of St. Joseph. He is the oldest of six children and remained there in Charlottesville until he began studies in Psychology at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. He graduated not in Psychology, but with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, after which he entered religious formation. “The Dominican vocation is one of zealous and joyful study, designed to enable us to help every man, woman, and child discover the love of Christ in their lives. I entered the Dominican Order to discover a brotherhood devoted to this work, bringing the light of Jesus Christ to the world.”
