Bro. Benedict Hernandez, O.P.
Brother Benedict Hernandez was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Electronic Media and Communication with a concentration in Film from Texas Tech University in 2016, he worked for an advertising firm in Houston as a videographer and video editor. His parents, who now attend the Dominican parish Holy Rosary, instilled a faith that prepared him for his providential encounter with the Dominicans. “When I entered college and encountered the Dominicans for the first time, I heard preaching that completely transformed my faith. I soon realized I was called to share this newfound joy, peace, and love of Christ to the world as a Dominican Friar.”
