Franciscan University of Steubenville

Fr. Dominic Koester is from Delphos, Ohio, and is the first of three children.  His family are parishioners of St. John Catholic Church, and he attended the parish school from kindergarten through his senior year of high school.  He was a diocesan seminarian and studied at the Pontifical College Josephinum, and then worked for a landscaping company while he visited different religious orders, especially monastic orders at first.  He finished his undergraduate degree at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, earning a BA in Philosophy.  “Offering my whole self through the contemplation of God which overflows into preaching Him for the salvation of souls is what really excited me about the Dominicans.  I thank God every day for the grace of getting to live this life!”
