Br. Bruno Marie McHale was born in Manassas, Virginia and raised in Brookeville, Maryland. He is fourth of nine children. He attended The Catholic University of America receiving a bachelors in Philosophy. He was also briefly a youth minister for St. Cecilia’s youth group in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. Br. Bruno met the Dominicans through St. Dominic’s parish in Washington D.C. He was moved to enter the order because of the example of friars he knew and St. Dominic’s famous prayer, “My God, My Mercy, what is to become of sinners?”
