Fr. Gregory Santy grew up the older of two children in Syracuse, New York and attended St. Daniel Parish with his family. As a junior in college, he entered formation with the Diocese of Syracuse and was sent to study as a Basselin Scholar at The Catholic University of America where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Philosophy in 2016 and a Licentiate in Philosophy in 2017. He first met the Order at the Dominican House of Studies during his time as a seminarian living at Theological College. “When I first met the Order, I was deeply impressed by the common life of the friars and the choral office. I became a Dominican because of the integration of contemplation, study, and preaching and the joy I witnessed in the friars I knew living such a life.”
