Br. Jerome Marie Masters was raised in Houston, Texas and is the youngest of two children. He attended the University of Texas at Tyler where he received his bachelor’s degree in communication studies and minored in human resource development. Upon graduation, he worked for Pi Kappa Phi fraternity as a Leadership Consultant. Starting new chapters for the fraternity on college campuses across the nation. Without knowing it there were Dominicans involved in his life from a very young age. “Once I had a taste of religious life, I never really stopped wanting it. The Dominican charism of preaching for the salvation of souls struck my heart, and I knew that God wanted me to be totally His.”
