ALMA MATER

Stanford University

Fr. Anthony VanBerkum grew up near Detroit, Michigan as the oldest of his parents’ seven children. He was blessed to have gone to his parish school, St. Paul on the Lake, and to a Christian Brothers high school, De La Salle Collegiate. He then completed a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at Stanford University, which was where he met the Dominican Order. “I found the Order’s life of fraternity and study, oriented to preaching for the salvation of souls, to be extremely attractive, and by the grace of God I am now a Dominican friar studying for the priesthood.”
