Fr. Henry Stephan, O.P., is a Californian who grew up in San Jose. Born to a Catholic family, his parents sacrificed to send him and his younger sister to Catholic schools, and encouraged him to study and discuss the faith from an early age. He attended Bellarmine College Preparatory (Class of 2007), where he was deeply involved in their nationally-recognized speech and debate program. He then attended Princeton University, where he was a student leader at the Aquinas Institute, the Catholic chaplaincy. He graduated with an A.B. in Politics in 2011. “Looking back, I see how the great passions and blessings of my life—public speaking and debate, my interest in study, the spirit of fraternity from my high school and college—were a preparation to say yes to God’s call to become a Dominican friar.”
