ALMA MATER

Columbia University

Fr. Hyacinth Grubb was born in Colorado, in the small mountain town of Conifer. He grew up in Our Lady of the Pines parish, the oldest of 4 children in a Catholic family. Always technologically minded, he attended Columbia University studying Electrical Engineering, but changed his course after graduating to enter the Order of Preachers. “Inspired by the example of St. Dominic, I desire to give my life entirely to Christ in contemplation and preaching for the salvation of souls, because there is no better or happier way of life than complete abandonment to Christ.”
