Marist College

Fr. Jacob Bertrand Janczyk was born and raised in Bristol, CT where he and his parents, brother and sister attended Saint Joseph Parish. Fr. Jacob Bertrand earned a Bachelors of Science in biomedical sciences from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. After graduating from Marist, Fr. Jacob Bertrand entered the novitate for the Dominican Province of Saint Joseph. “From his brilliance, Saint Dominic established a ‘mixed life.’ It is one that is bound in contemplation and study that spills over into apostolic preaching. This beautiful and unique way of following Christ captivated me when I first met the Order, and still does each day.”
