Fr. John Maria Devaney was raised in Clinton, NJ the youngest of three children of John and Helen Devaney and attended Immaculate Conception Grammar School and Immaculata High School both in Somerville, NJ. Father John attended Emerson College in Boston, MA and graduated with a B.A. in communications, with a concentration in audio/radio. For 15 years Father John worked as a disc jockey in public radio stations in Boston, New Jersey and Los Angeles. “Never would I have thought growing up that I would be called by Jesus Christ to his priesthood and to live my life for the salvation of souls by becoming a son of St. Dominic, a member of the friars preachers. What an honor, what a joy, what a mission!”
