Indiana University

Fr. Nicholas Hartman grew up the oldest of six children in Carmel, Indiana, attending Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish with his family. After graduating high school he attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Inspired the works of St. Thomas, he studied philosophy and graduated in May 2015. After graduating, he studied for a year at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas in Rome. “I saw that every element of the Dominican life, from its prayer, study, and the community, is there for you to grow in charity and to joyfully hand on that charity to others through preaching. I thought this is what God was asking me to do.”
