Fr. Peter Joseph Gautsch is from Gallatin, Tennessee. He is the oldest of eight children and was a parishioner of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. He attended the University of Notre Dame, where he studied theology and piano performance. “I became a Dominican friar to live a more profound union with Christ in a community of brothers and to preach, following in the steps of St. Dominic, the Preacher of Grace; in short, I entered the Order for my sanctification and that of my neighbor.”
