Duke Divinity School

Br. John David grew up in central Alabama. He studied classics for his bachelors, after which he went on to study theology at Duke Divinity School. While at Duke he encountered the thought of Dominican friars both Medieval and contemporary. This renewed his faith in Christianity. His career ultimately brought him to the New York area where he met the Province of St. Joseph at St. Vincent Ferrer Church on the Upper East Side. The Dominican endeavor of preaching resonated with his upbringing in the Methodist church and their commitment to the study of sacred truth with his own studies at Duke.
