Br. Joshua Maria Lukež was born in Naperville, IL though as his confreres know he has lived in many states throughout his life. He has a twin brother who is in the United States Marine Corps as well as a younger brother at the United States Naval Academy. After high school he completed his undergraduate studies at Franciscan University of Steubenville. While there he encountered the Order of Preachers through the vocations fair and visited the friars while living in Alaska. Inspired by the saints of the Order, as well as the rosary, and the solicitude for which they care for souls and bring them to Christ, he entered the Order in 2024.
