ALMA MATER

Providence College

Brother Roland grew up in Hanover, Massachusetts in a family of four. After graduating from high school, Brother Roland attended Providence College in Rhode Island where he first met the Dominicans. After graduating from PC in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Theology and Spanish, Brother Roland entered the Novitiate. “At Providence, I was so moved by the witness of the friars to the religious life. The biggest attraction for me was their joy and their prayerfulness. Even though I had thought about the priesthood before college, it wasn’t until I met the Dominicans that I could really see myself pursuing that path. Now, I am so grateful to be living this life and following in the footsteps of our Holy Father St. Dominic.”
