HOMETOWN

Crowley, LA

ALMA MATER

Catholic University of America

Fr. Bertrand is from Louisiana and was raised in the small town of Crowley, just west of Lafayette. Along with his mother and three older sisters, he attended St. Michael the Archangel Church while he was growing up. He earned both a bachelor’s and Licentiate in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. It was during this time that he met the Dominicans of the Province of St. Joseph. “At a certain point I came face-to-face with the generosity of God and his providence, and I could not help but respond by generously giving of myself in return. It is a great grace to be able to do so by drawing closer to the Lord and his Blessed Mother as a son of St. Dominic, and to be able to bring others to know the love of God that I myself have experienced.”
