Preaching in the Digital Public Square

A New Platform for the Gospel

On the feast of Pentecost, the Church remembers when the Holy Spirit descended upon Our Lady and the Apostles, sending them out to proclaim the Gospel to all nations.

So too, the Dominican friars have been sent into the world to preach Jesus Christ for the salvation of souls. In every age, the friars have gone where people gather to hear the Word of God—and today, one of the largest public squares is online.

To support this mission of digital preaching, the Dominican Friars Foundation has launched a new and expanded website: dominicanfriars.org. The redesigned site provides a more effective platform for evangelizing the culture and forming the faithful, offering visitors easy access to Dominican preaching, news, events, and resources.

One new feature is the Dominican Friars Media Hub—a curated space for podcasts, music, books, videos, and more. From Aquinas 101 to Godsplaining to Contemplata, the Media Hub brings together faithful content rooted in the rich intellectual and spiritual tradition of Saint Dominic.

We’ve also restored and updated the Province of St. Joseph shield, originally designed in 1925, as a sign of continuity in our mission: to preach the truth, in season and out of season.

All good works begin and end in God, so we are launching this new platform on the Vigil of Pentecost, asking the Holy Spirit to bless our efforts and bear fruit in the lives of those we serve.

As the Spirit continues to inspire young men to join the Order of Preachers and generous faithful to support our mission, we invite you to explore the new site—and join us in the work of proclaiming the Gospel in every age.
