Br. Ambrose Marie Power grew up in Scottsdale, AZ, and is the oldest of five children. He earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law from the University of Virginia. It was through the campus ministry there that he encountered the Dominican friars. After working for one year in the investment management industry, he entered the novitiate in 2023. “The Dominican life is a beautiful harmony of contemplation of God, both in the chapel and at the desk, and the action of preaching, all of which is oriented toward the salvation of souls. Once I realized that there is no greater work than bringing souls to Christ, I wanted to follow St. Dominic by praying, studying, and preaching for the conversion of the whole world.”
