Br. Philip Mary Wieszczek grew up in Scotch Plains, NJ, alongside his three sisters. He attended the University of South Carolina, where he received a B.A. in Philosophy and Economics. During his time in Columbia, SC, he came to know the Dominicans through his university’s Thomistic Institute chapter. He entered the Province the fall after graduating from college in 2023. “When I attended several TI intellectual retreats at the Dominican House of Studies, I saw a deep joy and a true zeal in the brothers that I had never seen before, and I found it irresistible.”
